World No. 1 Scottie Scheffler is the winner of the 2024 Travelers Championship.
Scheffler shot a final round 5-under 65 to finish at 22-under in regulation play, but Tom Kim made a birdie on the 18th to join Scheffler at 22-under and force a playoff.
Their last putts in regulation came after protesters stormed the 18th green and dumped a powdery orange substance on it. Police led the protesters away.
Scheffler’s par was enough on the first playoff hole to beat Kim, who bogeyed it.
With Sunday’s victory, Sheffler has won six out of his last 10 starts.
Cameron Young, who shot an 11-under 59 on Saturday, began his final round with four straight birdies to get to 17-under. He birdied one more hole on the front nine before a bogey on the 10th and a double bogey on the 12th derailed his chances of reaching the top of the leaderboard. He finished with a 4-under 66 and 17-under for the tournament.
