Angry Birds Flies to Facebook

Addictive Angry Birds will be winging its way to Facebook next month, its maker Rovio reported. Although the date isn't definite, the online game already has a Facebook page with 1.2 million friends.

It also means that an entirely new version of the game will be created for the social network. According to Develop:

On Facebook, "there will be completely new aspects to it that just haven't been experienced in any other platform," said studio boss Mikael Hed, who confirms that due to the social site's 'collaborative nature', "the pigs will have a more prominent role".

Angry Birds has been downloaded 75 million times and is already being awaited by Facebook fans who pepper the site with posts on the Facebook release date. Those pressing the "Like" button on the Angry Birds are promised to be updated with all the latest information.
