Gondola Could Link Squaw Valley and Alpine Meadows

Two major Lake Tahoe ski resorts may soon be connected by way of a gondola measuring 13,000 feet. The group that owns Squaw Valley and Alpine Meadows is talking about constructing what would be called the California Express. If regulators approve it, it may be up and running by the start of the 2019 season. Environmental groups are already reportedly coming out against the plan.
