Reports of People Walking on Freeways Has More Than Doubled: CHP

The CHP says more and more people are walking on freeways. In the Los Angeles are the number of calls about pedestrians on freeways more than doubled from 2015 to 2016. To fight the trend, CHP says it has deployed a “pedestrian enforcement detail.” The specialized unit patrols areas where homeless people gather, offering help to try and keep them from wandering the roadways.
