Santa Rosa native Steve Tomasin went a perfect 4-for-4 on conversions Thursday as the U.S. men's rugby team defeated Uruguay to advance to the quarterfinals at the Paris Olympics.
The Americans knocked off the Uruguayans 33-17 at the Stade de France.
The next match for the U.S. will be against Australia Thursday afternoon.
