A spring storm moved across the Bay Area Saturday, bringing rain, thunder, hail to the region and snow to Northern California.

The National Weather Service forecast for the greater San Francisco Bay Area for Saturday calls for scattered showers and a chance of thunderstorms on the tail end of a weather system that blew through the region Friday. Rob Mayeda has more.

The storm damage left behind from the holiday weekend is having an impact on the morning commute for drivers traveling along Niles Canyon Road, with a chunk of the road sliding into the nearby creek. Pete Suratos reports.

Niles Canyon Road, west of Sunol, is closed indefinitely due to storm damage, Caltrans and the California Highway Patrol said. Ian Cull reports.
