It’s a white Christmas for folks in the Tahoe region as a fresh round of snow came down in the Sierra Nevada.

Officials urge the public to stay out of the water and be on alert for unexpected waves.

Heavy rainfall, high winds and dangerous surf are expected to sweep across the Bay Area on Monday and Tuesday, according to the National Weather Service.
