Social media can sometimes be the spark that turns an issue into a crisis. Case in point: Twitter’s role in the collapse of Santa Clara-based Silicon Valley Bank. NBC Bay Area’s Raj Mathai spoke to Tony Cookson, the main author of a study that found that tweets about possible issues at Silicon Valley Bank spooked depositors — which led to the run on the bank.
