High Surf, Mild Temps Thursday

High pressure will boost temps into the 70s across most of the Bay today even as high clouds increase into the evening. On the coast we’ll be watching a high surf advisory through early Friday with some breakers in the 15-20 ft. range with higher sets at times. We’re expecting more clouds Friday and into the weekend leading to some rain returning to the North Bay by late Saturday afternoon then overnight across the rest of the Bay Area. Unlike recent storms, this system isn’t expected to drop more than .25″ of rain and most of that should stay north of San Francisco. We’ll see some clearing into Sunday afternoon with a mix of clouds and sun early next week. Some fairly strong storms will be mostly missing us to the north, however we’ll probably see a few light rain chances at times as a moderately strong high pressure offshore sends heavier rain up into the Pacific Northwest.
