Forecast: Updated rain timeline

2 storms will combine with an atmospheric river to bring rain chances.

NBC Universal, Inc. Meteorologist Kari Hall tracks the atmospheric river with another storm moving in next week in the Microclimate Forecast.

THURSDAY: Atmospheric River lingers to bring rain chances during the morning with the with the heaviest over the North Bay and scattered chances elsewhere. By the afternoon and evening we could actually see the Atmospheric River give us a quick break on the heaviest rain as it's expected to lift more off to the North for a bit.

Expect another 1-2 inches in the North Bay during the morning, while areas from San Francisco southward will only range trace amounts to .50". Expect more rounds of rain of heavy to start again Friday into early Saturday morning as the Atmospheric River is expected to swing back and hit the Bay Area again with another 1 to 3" of rain.

A Flood Watch remains in effect over Marin, Napa and Sonoma counties as street flooding may happen and creeks and streams will be running very high and fast. Look for a break in the rain Saturday afternoon and evening with more rain chances by Sunday.
