MONDAY: A Winter Spare the Air alert, which prohibits wood burning is in effect Monday due to light wind and strong high pressure, preventing mixing of the lower atmosphere allowing wood smoke and particulate matter pollution to build up across the region. We’ll also likely see areas of patchy dense fog from late night into the early morning hours this week.
High pressure will also lead to a stretch of dry days likely extending into next weekend with rain chances staying focused on the Pacific Northwest.
