Forecast: Rain returns Wednesday

2 storms will combine with an atmospheric river to bring on & off rain the next 5 days.

NBC Universal, Inc. Chief Meteorologist Jeff Ranieri tracks the incoming storm and Atmospheric River and where totals will reach over 4 inches in your 7 day Microclimate Forecast.

WEDNESDAY: Atmospheric River arrives to bring rain in the North Bay during the morning and South Bay by the afternoon.  North Bay rain totals Wednesday 1.00 to 2inch range (except Guerneville 2-3inch possible) SF to San Jose less with trace amounts to .50inch. Expect more rounds of rain to continue as the Atmospheric River stalls over parts of the Bay Area Thursday into Saturday morning with the bullseye of heaviest rain over Marin, Napa & Sonoma counties. This is where a Flood Watch remains in effect as street flooding may happen and creeks and streams will be running very high and fast. More on the rain totals that could top 4 inches and the updated timeline in your full Microclimate Forecast VIDEO. Chief Meteorologist Jeff Ranieri
