Forecast: Updated rain timeline

2 storms will combine with an atmospheric river to bring rain chances.

NBC Universal, Inc. Chief Meteorologist Jeff Ranieri tracks how the Atmospheric River will move over the Bay Area Friday in your 7 day Microclimate Forecast.

FRIDAY: Expect the atmospheric river to swing back and hit us again as we start off the morning with heavy rain 1st over the North Bay and then rain moving south through the late morning. This will hang out over the Bay Area into the Evening. Rain totals will range 1 to 3" over the North Bay and 1-2" range elsewhere. This may bring localized street from heavy downpours. The storm will exit by late Friday night and leave a few spotty showers Saturday morning. Drying weather will return Saturday afternoon and evening with more rain chances by Sunday night.

With the above-mentioned rain on Friday a Flood Watch remains in effect over Marin, Napa and Sonoma counties as street flooding may happen and creeks and streams will be running very high and fast.
