TUESDAY: A red flag warning goes into effect for the entire Bay Area Tuesday morning and is expected to last at least through the day Wednesday. Dry gusty offshore winds are expected to increase during the day Tuesday with peak wind speeds occurring overnight into early Wednesday morning. Mountains could see wind gusts of more than 60 mph with valley gusts into the 30-40 mph range, locally higher in spots.

The warm, dry and windy conditions will keep wildfire danger elevated into Thursday even as wind speeds begin to subside. We’ll see cooler temps, more clouds and possibly some rain chances to the north on Saturday then a better chance for some rain possible by Sunday night into Monday of next week.
