Forecast: Fall brings Summer-like temps ahead

Hot high pressure will bring isolated inland heat by the weekend.

NBC Universal, Inc.

SUNDAY: Fall officially gets underway at 5:43 Sunday morning, although the temperatures over the next three days will certainly feel more like Summer, especially inland. We should see highs in the 80s and some 90s inland for Sunday, with valley temperatures into the 90s-100s Monday and Tuesday. Bayside temperatures will also warm into the 80s-90s on Monday and just slightly cooler on Tuesday.

All regions should cool down on Wednesday as winds increase, which once again means that for our inland hills, especially above the cooler marine air, we’ll have elevated fire danger returning after this 2-3 day warm pattern. We may have to watch for drier offshore breezes, picking up with another warm-up for next weekend. Stay tuned.
