SUNDAY: Expect a cloudy finish to the weekend with rain at times, especially into the North Bay and along the coast.
Showers should decrease and stay mainly to the north of the Bay Area for Monday and Tuesday before eyes shift toward a strong atmospheric river boosted rain event into the Pacific Northwest. High rain totals and high rain rates/hour will be likely along this region from Oregon into NW California. While the highest rain totals likely stay in the Marin County north areas, should this moisture plume drop a bit farther south, we could see fairly high totals into the Bay Area as well, which bears watching in the Wednesday to Friday timeframe.
