Forecast: Gusty wind continues

As a system exits, we'll see the chance of a few showers early Saturday morning.

SUNDAY: The first of two strong wind events will start the week with mountain areas seeing gusts above 50 mph into early Monday morning. Wind speeds should decrease for a time later Monday into early Tuesday before increasing again by Tuesday evening into early Wednesday.

Wind speeds look stronger with this second event, leading PG&E to announce potential localized power shutoffs across Bay Area counties from Tuesday to Thursday. Also, wind speeds will be higher, and gusty conditions are expected to be more widespread later Tuesday into Wednesday, meaning the potential for tree damage and localized power issues will be elevated. Fire danger, too, looks elevated, with some daytime dry-like humidity levels expected before sunrise Wednesday.

We should see less wind later into Thursday, some cooling temps into the weekend, and increasing clouds and rain chances just to the north of the Bay Area.
